School is almost out for the Summer...

Don't forget about MCT's Annual Summer Camp:

This summer's production is PETER PAN JR.

The Marathon Community Theatre (MCT) Children's Summer Theatre Program is both a classroom and a hands-on program for attending children, ages 6-18.  The children attending our camp will learn all aspects of community theatre including:  Acting, Directing, Producing, Lighting, Sound, Props, Costumes, Stage Management, Set Construction and Choreography. The MCT Children's Summer Theatre’s goal is to provide our youngest community members with an education in the cultural and performing arts.  Volunteer staff from MCT work with the children in various aspects of theatre by using lesson plans, action games and teaching in a classroom setting.   Participants learn performing arts identification and terminology, time management skills and teamwork.  Throughout their experience at MCT, the children are trained to manage their own Summer Theatre production (2019 prodcution is PETER PAN JR), from the audition process to the actual stage performance.  The children rehearse on the MCT Stage, gaining familiarity and comfort for when they perform their final production.  This year's camp directors are Ms. Kara Pascucci and Mrs. Jamie Stevens.  If you have further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our GM, Jeanette Gierula, at 305-743-0408 or by email at gm@marathontheater.org.  Applications are available below or at the MCT Box Office at 5101 Overseas Hwy, Marathon, FL 33050.
