BELLY DANCE CLASS

(TEACHER:  Donna)

Belly Dance is more than just wriggling around in a sequined bikini!  It encompasses dances from all over the Middle East, all the way to Gypsy and even a little African and Flamenco.  It’s a fun way to move your body to the music, and you don’t have to bare any part of your body to do it.

Wednesdays at 5:30.

BOLLYWOOD DANCE CLASS

(TEACHER:  Donna)

What the heck is Bollywood?  It’s the dance done in the movies in India!  Bollywood encompasses Indian Classical and folk dance, as well as a little Belly Dance, and even a little Hip Hop.  Above all, it’s fun, and very aerobic.  If you like Zumba, you’ll love Bollywood!

Wednesdays at 6:30.

CORALETTE KICK LINE DANCE CLASS

(TEACHER:  Donna)

Who doesn’t love a kick line?  Sign up to be a Coralette!!!  Unlike the real Rockettes, who all have to wear the same size costume, we take all sizes and ages (teen – adult).  And you don’t have to be able to kick over your head, just as high as your waist.  You don’t think you can?  You never know until you try!

TBA - Class time to be announced.

CUBAN SALSA & CASINO RUEDA DANCE CLASS

(TEACHER:  Billy)

Cuban Salsa is a partner dance that is taught in a circle (rueda) in which partners are exchanged.  It is social & fun and makes the dance perfect for group performances.  Students will learn to connect to the music and master the basic steps of rueda & one on one dancing.

Wednesdays at 7:30.

CAROLINA SHAG DANCE CLASS

(TEACHER:  Billy)

Carolina Shag is as easy as East Coast Swing, as versatile as West Coast Swing and as flashy as Lindy Hop.  Most any medium speed of music will make it ideal for blues, rock, classic B&B and 1960’s beach music.

Class will follow Cuban Salsa on Wednesdays.

LYRICAL DANCE CLASS

(TEACHER:  Cami)

Lyrical dance is a style that finds its roots in ballet & jazz and is characterized by fluid expressive movements which can convey emotions such as joy, love or loss.  It is an excellent style for beginners because it focuses largely on expression rather than structured ballet or jazz.  For seasoned dancers, the choreography can become more intricate & challenging.  In the lyrical class, we work on improving our flexibility, balance & strength as well as learn how to convey a message through movements.  We use various music styles such as slow ballads to world music to hip hop, in which songs always have a message.

Thursdays at 6:00.
