I would also like to thank all the local restaurants and other commercial establishments who graciously donated everything from food to flowers to stage decor. Their help made the evening a truly elegant affair and a weekend to remember.
Congratulations to Ann Hart for directing over 70 members in an amazing show of talent, to Kathryn Rummery for her excellent work with the MCT Chorus and kudos to Sandy Saylor for organizing the lavish buffet (in addition to performing, canvassing for silent auction donations, etc., etc.). There are many more names of those who put in 200%+ effort, thank you all!
Now we need the same support for our season opener A Thousand Clowns, opening Thursday, November 15 through Saturday, December 8. It's a wacky, wonderful comedy, recently revived on Broadway with Tom Selleck, featuring veteran MCT actor Bob Sundemeier and introducing a talented group of new MCT members. Please make your reservations now and don't forget to get your season tickets before they are no longer on sale.
As every season, we also need help with ushers and concession staff for all performances. If you can volunteer even for one night we need you. !! Please call Bonnie Greenberg at 743-0408 to pick your night to help. We also always need help with set construction, props, makeup and costumes. If you can hammer a nail, find a set decoration, apply eyeliner or hem a dress…WE NEED YOU! Call Ann Hart, Vice President of Production, (305) 852-5830 to lend a hand.
The theatre is bustling with one show opening, two already in rehearsals of some fashion, our chorus rehearsing for our Christmas concert and outside groups renting our spaces…so, if you plan on using any area of the theatre you must schedule in advance! Call Bonnie to reserve your space if available.
Mark your calendars for the Second Annual MCT Christmas Concert, Saturday, December 22, at 5 p.m. Our talented MCT Chorus will be singing many of your favorite holiday tunes plus an audience sing-a-long. Admission is FREE!
See you at the theatre!
Jane Disko Madden,
President

ADULT BEGINNER TAP CLASS GOING ON NOWOur limited Costume Area is overflowing, and as we are in the midst of "costuming" for the four upcoming productions, we are also sending to the Salvation Army, a lot of "junk" clothing that people have just dumped here. We can always use unusual/different pieces of clothing in good, clean condition, such as: gowns, uniforms, tuxedos, sport coats, suits, hats, etc. We can no longer accept garbage bags stuffed with cast-off clothing that would be better sent to church rummage sales and the Salvation Army.
loved Tres Vidas! Thanks,
Cecelia
